Onion Gravy

INGREDIENTS

1 Onion
3 Tbsp Veg Oil
2 Tbsp Plain Flour
½ Tsp Black Pepper
500 ml Boiling Water
2 Beef Stock Cubes
Pinch of Salt

METHOD

1 Dissolve stock cubes in water.
2 Peel and thinly slice onion or finely dice.
3 Put oil in pan with onions to caramelize them. About 10 – 15 minutes.
4 Add some flour to form a roux.
5 Pour in the stock and combine well.
6 Bring back to boil to thicken.
7 Adding salt depends on how salty your stock cubes are.
8 Add salt and pepper.
