2 Cups Self Raising Flour (300 gr)
1 Can or Bottle of Beer (Approx 350 – 375 ml)
OR
1 ½ Cups Self Raising Flour (225 gr)
½ Cup Corn Flour (75 gr)
1 Can or Bottle of Beer (Approx 350 – 375 ml)
Rules of beer batter:
1st: Beer batter is not complicated. It should only contain beer and self-raising flour.
2nd: The beer should be cold.
3rd: You DO NOT need to sift the flour and don’t over-whisk it. A few lumps actually makes for a better texture.
4th and most important: It is important to choose the correct beer according to what you are going to cook. As any ingredient ranges in texture and taste, so does beer.
