9″ Pasty


Makes 12 – 16 Pasties

INGREDIENTS

1 Kg Beef Mince or (Meat of your choice)
1 Kg Frozen Mixed Vegetables
2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 Tbsp Fish Sauce (Optional)
1 Brown Onion (cut into small dice)
1 Cup Frozen Spinach (Thawed)
1 Cup Bread crumbs
4 Med to Lg Potatoes (cut into small dice about 5mm) If no Potato in bag of mixed Veges
12 – 16 Sheets of Pastry
Any Herbs you wish
1 Tbsp Salt
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 or 2 Eggs (for Egg Wash)

METHOD

1 Brown meat in fry pan. (about 5 minutes).
2 Add Veggies, Salt & Pepper and cook for a further 5 Minutes.
   (Add Bread Crumbs to take up the moister.)
3Take off stove and let cool before using.
4 Let cool totally before adding Cheese if adding Cheese.
5 Cut Pastry into 230mmor 9″ circles.
6 Add 1 Cup mixture on top of pastry, then fold pastry over mixture to meet the other edge evenly and press together.
7 Use a fork to seal the edges of the pastry.
8 Place on a cooking tray and Egg Wash the Pasties.
9 Cook in oven at 200℃ – 220℃ for 25 – 30 minutes or until golden.
