
INGREDIENTS
1 Loaf Bread Sliced
250 g Mashed Potato
125 g Cheese Grated
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Onion Finely Chopped
2 Bacon Rashers Chopped
1 Pinch Paprika
METHOD
1 Preheat oven to 190C.
2 Butter the bread lightly, but evenly, and cut off the crusts.
3 Press the squares into patty pans buttered side down.
4 Mash the potato after they are cooked.
5 Mix the mashed potato with cheese, egg, onion and bacon.
6 Put the potato mixture into the bread cases and sprinkle with paprika.
7 Bake for 20-30 minutes, until bread is light brown.
NOTES
1 I often triple this recipe and freeze, then my kids just heat them up when they want.
2 You could try to use a sheets of Puff Pastry and cut it into 4 squares.
