Gnocchi

INGREDIENTS

1 Kg Potato
300 gr Plain Flour
1 Large Egg
Salt (Sprinkle)

METHOD

1 Boil the potatoes until they are nice and soft.
2 Once boiled, peel the potatoes (or use peeled potatoes) and squash them through the Potato Ricer and onto a wooden board.
3 Spread the Potatoes out slightly using a fork to help them cool.
4 Add the egg to the potatoes and mix them through well using your hands.
5 Then, add a sprinkle of salt to the gnocchi and continue to mix through.
6 Get a handful of flour, sprinkle it on top and then mix it through by beginning to knead the dough.
7 Continue this process until the gnocchi dough is no longer sticky.

Tips for Cooking Italian Recipes: Don’t over boil the potatoes or they won’t be the right consistency for the gnocchi.
