{"id":651,"date":"2023-04-09T01:57:47","date_gmt":"2023-04-09T01:57:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grub.fairgomate.net\/?page_id=651"},"modified":"2023-04-09T01:57:47","modified_gmt":"2023-04-09T01:57:47","slug":"hash-browns","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grub.fairgomate.net\/index.php\/hash-browns\/","title":{"rendered":"Hash Browns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-644 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/grub.fairgomate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/hash-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grub.fairgomate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/hash-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/grub.fairgomate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/hash-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Kg Potato<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Plain Flour<br \/>\n1 Egg, Lightly Whisked<br \/>\nPinch Of Salt<br \/>\nVegetable Oil, To Shallow-Fry<\/p>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Preheat oven to 120C or 100c fan-forced.<br \/>\n2 Line a baking tray with paper towel.<br \/>\n3 Coarsely grate the potatoes into a colander.<br \/>\n4 Use your hands to squeeze out as much excess liquid as possible.<br \/>\n5 Transfer potatoes to a bowl.<br \/>\n6 Add the flour, egg and salt to the potato, and stir until well combined.<br \/>\n7 Divide mixture into 12 equal portions. <br \/>\n3 Add enough oil to a large deep frying pan to reach a depth of 2cm. Heat to 190\u00b0C over medium-high heat (when oil is ready a cube of bread will turn golden brown in 15 seconds). Spoon 4 portions of potato mixture around the edge of the pan and flatten slightly to form 8cm discs. Shallow-fry for 3 minutes or until golden underneath. Turn and shallow-fry for a further 2 minutes or until crisp.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE<br \/>\nUse an egg lifter to transfer hash browns to prepared tray and place in preheated oven to keep warm.
